About

UK Royal Beasts creates interactive educational apps about the history of Britain’s monarchy, for students, teachers, families and history enthusiasts. Our apps help fill gaps in what’s taught in class and give keen learners more to explore.

Queen’s Beasts was our first app. It has since been joined by Beasts of the Crown, and more royal beasts are on the way.

The Team: When Apple released the iPad, the first 10,000 Apple approved apps included the bilingual educational app: IntroDUCKtion to Very, Very Big Feelings. The same management team and content creators are involved in creating The UK Royal Beasts apps.

What reviewers said about Queen’s Beasts:

From TechReview Ninja: Have you ever wanted to learn more about the genealogy of Queen Elizabeth II? Are you taking a class or working on a project where you need a solid reference of the royal lineage? If so, Queen’s Beasts is the app for you.

From the Academic App Store: Queens Beast’s app builds its content around the 10 heraldic statues commissioned at the beginning of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. Each one has a meaning within the Queen’s ancestry and so together they are an original and useful way of representing one aspect of the history of Britain.

The app makes the most of this structure by using the heraldic beasts and who they represent to describe the passage of history that explains how Queen Elizabeth II came to be the head of state of the United Kingdom as well as some other countries.
